This Mother’s Day, it’s important to remind ourselves how special every day of the year is. But it’s also important to remember that not every mother around the world is as lucky. There are mothers living with HIV. It’s easy to forget about them. Life gets busy. But they need our help.
That’s why the campaign I’m about to tell you about is important and it’s an easy campaign to slip into your celebration this year.
Mothers2Mother’s puts mothers living with HIV are at the center of their efforts to eliminate pediatric AIDS and keep families and communities healthy. Every year, they send “Mentor Mothers” to bring health and hope to thousands of women newly diagnosed with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa, helping them prevent the transmission of HIV to their babies and stay alive to see them grow.
This Mother’s Day, double your mom and tell your mother or important woman in your life how special she is by making a donation in her name to help Mentor Mothers reach more women with lifesaving information and support. Every donation received for Mother’s Day will be doubled with a matching gift by an anonymous donor up to a total of $25,000!
In acknowledgement, M2M will send her a Mother’s Day e-card with a special video message from some of the inspiring mothers we work with. Watch the video here.
Be sure to select “Send Dedication Acknowledgement” and include a personal note on the second page.
Please let M2M know by noon (pacific time) Friday, May 10th so they can send your e-card out in time for Mother’s Day.
If your recipient cannot receive email, they can also send a Mother’s Day card by regular mail in the U.S., letting her know a donation has been made in her honor. The deadline for cards sent by mail is Monday, May 6th.
