One woman’s quest to conquer her fears and embrace life – and to inspire others to do the same.
Fears. We all have them. Some we carry through our whole lives. Others we face head on, but the road to get there is never easy. At age 39, author Patty Chang Anker decided it was time to face the fears that had taken root like weeds in her life. She learned to dive into a pool and surf in the ocean and faced fear of losing control, bodily harm and being seen in a swim suit. It became her mission to help others do what they couldn’t before, enlisting teachers, coaches, therapists and clergy to help people overcome fear of everything from driving to public speaking to heights.
What she learned is revealed in her new book, SOME NERVE, and PIVOTING MEDIA is going to celebrate and dish about all of our internal fears and discuss courage, power and the joy that comes with conquering them.
Join us for an interesting conversation and several chances to win a copy of SOME NERVE. We’re also giving away a COURAGE KIT, complete with everything you need to be brave including a backpack, a Burt Bee’s pedicure kit, swim goggles and a swim cap, a yellow water bottle, a “I can’t believe we did that!” photo frame and a copy of the book (valued at $127.92); and two runners-ups will receive a “I can’t believe we did that!” photo frame and copy of the book (valued at $47.95).
