In the heart of the West Village at 314 West 11th Street lies one of favorite restaurants, the Spotted Pig. It's called a gastro pub for its unique flavors and tastes. It looks like an average bar but the food is far from average. On any given night, you'll have to wait in line for a table. I opened up my new edition of Time Out Kids this afternoon, looking for a place to eat this afternoon in the West Village. I spotted a "family-friendly" choice called Commerce not far from where we were at that moment, so I suggested that my sister, daughter and I head that way. We made another Brooklyn discovery tonight - 67 Burger over on 67 Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene. So I've never been to Thailand (I'm dying to go), so can't I can't truly vouch for how Sriraphai would compare to authentic Thai food, but it's definitely the best Thai food I've ever had.
