I don’t know about you, but I am raising digital kids. It’s a new world, a digital world, and my kids are a part of it all. It helps that my husband and I are techno-savvy, and we’ve been bringing them into our own experience since they were born. It all started with TIVO – my daughter learned to operate the remote control at age 1. Then she became proficient on the computer at age 2-3, developed a love for the Leapster at age 4 and moved onto the DSI at age 6. But the greatest techno tool is our iPhone. Not only do we love it, but our kids love it.
I love when we are out somewhere and run into a bumpy moment that requires peace and quiet, and I reach into my pocket and hand them my beloved iPhone. The apps that we’ve downloaded are both educational and entertaining, and I feel confident that my kids are getting something out these experiences. That’s why I’m excited about the promotion I’m about to tell you about.
Right now Ruckus Media is offering – a FREE download of the classic story, The Velveteen Rabbit, narrated by Meryl Streep, with music by George Winston and illustrated by Dave Jorgensen and a FREE download of another classic tale The Night Before Christmas, also narrated by Meryl Strep. Each can be downloaded onto the iPhone, iTouch or iPad. You get to choose which version you want in the Apple iTunes App Store.
The promo will run Thanksgiving Day, November 25th, through Monday, November 29th.
Disclosure: I work for Ruckus as a consultant, but I am endorsing the apps on my blog because I fully believe in their high quality and content.
