What a warm and wonderful tribute to a legend. I also grew up with her from Ed Sullivan to Johnny to Johnny dissing her to her coming into her own. She was outspoken, outrageous and her own true person.

The opposite of Joan is someone who cowardly hides behind a non-profile spewing venom and hate. Not worthy of any other words…

I just watched A Piece of Work the other night and was so inspired and encouraged by it. I was surprised to find out that Rivers was shy, that she felt left out at times by the boys club, and by how much she did, worked so hard at, and that she was so incredibly hands on with regard to her career. She truly was a legend and I will miss her. She was a big part of my childhood too. I still quote several of her bits. I haven’t missed a comic this much since Carlin.
