I’d like to introduce you to the Little Known Facts Podcast, made by actress and mompreneur, Ilana Levine. I stumbled across her podcast on iTunes one day last year whilst searching for Broadway focused podcasts to listen to while working and instantly loved it so much that I naturally tweeted about it. Ilana is such an amazingly generous and grateful person that she got in touch with me that same day to thank me for my passion and interest. From that point on, a relationship was quickly formed. To this day, I continue to avidly search out her podcast.
Ilana certainly has the chops to host this broadcast, which brings members of the acting community to her studio sometimes weekly, and sometimes more often that that. She is very connected to the Broadway and entertainment worlds, having been a part of the world for some time. She has starred on Broadway in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Wrong Mountain and Jake’s Women. She has also performed on the Tony Awards. Her television credits include: Damages, Law & Order: SVU, Cashmere Mafia, Seinfeld, Tanner ‘88 The Buried Secret of M. Night Shymalan and Tanner on Tanner. She has also appeared in numerous feature films.
She truly has the greatest voice, too, that was meant to host her own show like Little Known Facts. Each episode offers an up close and personal look into the lives and creative process of todays most succesful artists. They are intimate conversations between two friends being shared with the public in the hopes that they offer the listener food for thought, laughter, inspiration and a feeling of connection and community.
Ilana chooses each one of her guests quite carefully. Each one has made an important contribution to the artistic landscape and has done so with integrity, passion, and a desire to connect deeply with others. She’s proud of every one of these guests for sharing their stories of struggle and triumph. Regardless of wether or not they themselves are established artists, aspiring artists or pursuing a dream of any kind- in the arts, business, charitable organizations, politics etc. She possesses a certain depth of banter you won’t find on other podcasts.
