Happy holidays to everyone reading (anyone left?). I'm hanging out in Brooklyn with my teenager, playing hipsters, this weekend, still traumatized by the disastrous, sad news of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. The world will never be the same again. Both women left such a strong imprint on American culture, and I so hope that their spirits are joining up in heaven. I was a huge fan of Carrie Fisher when I was a teenager/young adult. I read all her books, hung onto her every word. She was so much more than Princess Leia. Don't get me wrong, I was a fan Read More
Where You’ll Find Me
I haven't been writing as much as of late, not due to a shortage of things to talk about, but mainly because of a workload that has been taking me away from doing some of the things I love. Yep, when you work full time, it's hard to partake in the things you love. Last week a business trip took me to Los Angeles, and I went a few days early and enjoyed the beauty of Southern California. I went boogie boarding in Santa Monica, dining in SilverLake, exploring in Pasadena and hiking in the Palisades. It was heaven, and a bonus, I was on my own, without the Read More
Where I’ve Been
Forgive the silence once again, but life has been busy. With a home renovation, a full client list and kid obligations THROUGH THE ROOF, there has been little time to do many of the things I love. I look forward to moving back home so I can once again sustain my heavy appetite of culture and travel wanderlust. From Traveling... But my adventures haven't stopped completely. This past weekend, I was a guest of the Mont Tremblant tourist board and got to thoroughly explore (and ski) this amazing part of Canada. Stay tuned for that coverage here on the Read More

My international travels came to a crashing halt about six months ago, but they resume tomorrow as I head to Ireland with Insight Vacations. My physical therapy and healing process continues, but I'm really looking forward to going abroad. Meanwhile, I leave my kids in good hands while I'm away and carry their support with me as I embark on an adventure with other travel writers from around the world. I also just came back from the Society of American Travel Writers Association's conference in Las Vegas, where I spent five days networking and being Read More
