"Freckleface Strawberry The Musical" & "PETER PANtomime" Benefit Performances

Last weekend my son and I had a very special experience when we attended Freckleface Strawberry, the hit off Broadway family musical, at a benefit for Save The Children at MMAC Theatre (Manhattan Movement and Arts Center).  Last year when I saw and covered Freckleface, I mentioned that I enjoyed it as much as my kids. Support Childrens Theater and an Important Cause

FRECKLEFACE STRAWBERY, the hit off Broadway family musical has teamed up with Save The Children and will present a special benefit performance on Saturday, December 10th at 3 pm at MMAC Theatre (Manhattan Movement and Arts Center), 248 West 60th Street off of West End Avenue. My Review of Freckleface Strawberry: A Must See For You…Oh, and Your Kids, Too

When my kids and I headed into New World Stages on Sunday to see Freckleface Strawberry, I have to admit that I had pretty big expectations.  After all, the book the play was based on is written by one of my favorite actresses, Julianne Moore.  In addition, we have had some great theatrical experiences recently at this theater with the Gazillion Bubbles Show and ImaginOcean.  Most of all, I was really excited to see my 5-year-old son's reaction to the show.  To date, I've been taking my daughter to most of the performances I review on this blog, and … [Read more...]

Julianne Moore’s Best-Selling Children’s Book “Freckleface Strawberry” Hits NYC

The beloved New York Times best selling children’s book Freckleface Strawberry by the celebrated actress Julianne Moore is adapted into a 75-minute musical chock full of  music, dance and fun. The show now opens on Friday, October 1st with previews starting on Thursday, September 9th at New World Stages (340 West 50th St- between 8th and 9th Avenues) .
