When I try to imagine a world without books, it's just too hard. My whole world revolves around the written word, it always has. When I was a child, I ran home from school to read books. My mother took us to the library all the time. When I finally got around to reading the classics, it was as though a whole new world opened up to me. Passports with Purpose -All it Takes is a Village

Two of my favorite things, travel and advocacy, come together in a wonderful annual travel blogger fundraiser, Passports with Purpose. Last year, the group – led by Debbie Dubrow of Delicious Baby, Beth Whitman of Wanderlust and Lipstick, Michelle Duffy of Wandermom and Pam Mandel of Nerds Eye View - raised nearly $30,000 to build a school in Preah Vihear, a rural area in northern Cambodia.
