When I invited my mom to attend a press viewing of the revival of Gigi on Broadway, she was ecstatic, claiming it's one of the most memorable shows she ever saw as a teenager in the 1950s. WICKED at The Westin New York at Times Square

This past weekend was a special one for my tween and I as we stayed over night in NYC in Times Square for the first time. Sure, we've stayed over night in the city before but not right in the heart of Broadway. And for two culture vultures, that meant everything. Review: Brooklynite at the Vineyard Theatre

Today I experienced one of those "only in NYC" experiences: BROOKLYNITE, a new show playing at the Vineyard Theatre. The show has a lot of star power behind it - book by Peter Lerman and Michael Mayer (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Spring Awakening), music and lyrics by Peter Lerman, with characters created by Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman.
