Yesterday my kids and I went to the launch of Atari’s new game offering called Sandlot Sluggers. We celebrated the upcoming release of this new action-packed baseball game with other bloggers and journalists in New York City hosted by Rolemommy.com and Atari.
The games come in either Xbox, Wii or DS format. Sandlot Sluggers, based on one of the best selling kids’ sports video game series, allows players to join their favorite neighborhood friends and play ball in fun and exciting arcade style sports action.
Allowing kids to follow traditional baseball rules, Backyard Sports: Sandlot Sluggers is an intuitive game with kid-appropriate content that combines realism with fantasy while being non-violent. Backyard Sports: Sandlot Sluggers will be available for Xbox 360 ($29.99), Wii ($29.99), and Nintendo DS ($29.99).

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
